Marriott International adds value to family vacations in China

Updated: 2017-07-19 17:56:51

Marriott International’s three award-winning loyalty programs – The Ritz-Carlton Rewards, Marriott Rewards and SPG Rewards – jointly announced the upgrade of their kids program by introducing the Family Travel Reading Plan, a new and exclusive kids program which aims to enrich the travel experiences of children by joining hands with CITIC Press Group.

The program will be available to members staying at more than 250 participating Marriott International properties in China starting from August 1st, 2017.

Nowadays, more and more guests in China take family programming into consideration when making hotel booking decisions, and increasingly, they value educational and cultural activities that inspire and enrich the travel experiences of children.

“Based on input from its current members, Marriott developed this unique program that caters to these evolving demands and offers audio reading activities that are both educational and fun, nourishing children’s innate desire to learn”, said Mr. Lawrence Ng, Vice President of Sales & Marketing of Marriott International in Greater China.

“The goal of our partnerships is to foster togetherness and broaden a child’s perspective of the world. Whether unlocking a destination with Marriott, we hope to strengthen bonds and create memories among families and our youngest guests that are sure to last”.

“We have selected a number of quality books that cater to a diverse range of interests to appeal to children with educational stories when member guests choose a hotel for their family vacation. This will help inspire children to enjoy a range of memorable experiences that they can share with their family.

Marriott Rewards Kids Program – MAX!

The Marriott Rewards Kids Program – MAX! – provides activities and opportunities for young guests to be active with sports and dance, stay curious by learning about local cultures, go explore their surroundings, or just chill and enjoy the hotel experience.

Created for children ages 4 to 12 years old, MAX! is founded on four activity pillars: Be Active offers action-packed sessions, ranging from pool activities to dance lessons; Stay Curious encourages intellectual curiosity with activities such as cooking and arts-and-crafts; Go Explore will appeal to children’s sense of adventure; while Just Relax offers more tranquil pursuits.

Ritz Kids Program

Ritz Kids is the first globally consistent, immersive programming from a hotel company to build on the adventures of travel for children. Designed to draw on a child’s passion for the curious, the programme has a tailored approach to creating memories for children visiting a resort, city or urban property. The robustly layered activities foster learning centered around four key pillars – water, land, environmental responsibility and culture.

SPG Mini Program

The SPG Mini program provides children aged 12 years old and younger complementary buffet lunch or dinner at food and beverage establishments at participating properties. Any SPG member ordering foods at a participating resort with a child aged 12 years old and younger may take advantage of the program. The child must be accompanied by an adult for all food orders placed. An accompanying adult purchase is required in restaurants at mealtime.
