Sanya boosts family travel, to hold 6-day trade fair in Sep
The 2018 Sanya Family Tourism Trade Fair will be held in Sanya from September 25th to 30th, 2018, according to a press conference held at the Sanya Resident and Visitor Information Center this Wednesday.
Sponsored and overseen by the Sanya Municipal People’s Government and organized by the Sanya Tourism Development Commission, this year’s event will be part of the city’s large-scale “Invite In” marketing strategy in the family tourism market.
Domestic and overseas purchasers including professional family-oriented operators and family travel service providers will be invited to attend this year’s event. The fair will feature a series of online and offline events, including topic forums, trade fairs, and study tours on how to help Sanya become an even more popular destination for family travel.
Pang Yongda, Head of the Marketing Department at the Sanya Tourism Development Commission, said at the press conference that Sanya will unveil its family tourism mascot, branding concept, and promotional video at the 2018 Sanya Family Tourism Trade Fair.
It is also worth mentioning that the Sanya Tourism Association’s Parent-child Study Committee was established on the day of the press conference. The new committee will use its own industry expertise, integrated with Sanya’s tourism resources, to create a family-friendly holiday atmosphere for travelers, and to develop more quality family tour products catered to families’ various needs.
According to Wang Feifei, Vice Director of the Sanya Tourism Development Commission, family tourism — one of the three pillars of the city’s tourism industry — has gained in popularity over the last two years. Now, the two upcoming events in the industry — the opening of the 2018 Sanya Family Tourism Trade Fair, and the establishment of the Sanya Tourism Association’s Parent-child Study Committee — will help to create an even better platform through which industry professionals can strengthen exchange and cooperation, build Sanya’s family tourism brand, and boost Sanya’s family tourism market.
