About the sport of teqball
Teqball was invented in 2014 in Hungary by two football enthusiasts, Gábor Borsányi, a former professional player and Viktor Huszár, a computer scientist.
Teqball became the world’s fastest recognised sport in August 2018 when FITEQ was officially recognised by the Olympic Committee of Asia and in 2019 it was officially recognised by the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA).
The sport of teqball, which is promoted with the slogan “The World is Curved,” is played on a table tennis-sized table that curves downwards at both ends. The players can use their football skills to keep the ball in play, controlling it with the head, chest, legs, or feet before returning the ball table tennis-like over the net.
Invented in Hungary, teqball has proved popular with football stars such as Ronaldinho, Messi, and Maradona, who play the game to refine their touch, ball control, and skills in a fun and friendly but competitive environment.
