The World Tai Chi Industry Expo is part of a variety of events planned for the World’s Second Tai Chi Culture Festival Sanya (Nanshan) this year.
The World Tai Chi Culture Festival’s first event, held in March last year, was a great success. The event attracted more than 200 Tai Chi masters and 2,000 Tai Chi practitioners and enthusiasts from 32 countries and regions including Italy, Germany, France, the United States, Russia, and China.
Tai Chi is practiced not only in China, but all over the world. The World Tai Chi Culture Festival will be even greater in scale for its second consecutive year. At least fourteen events are planned, including a Tai Chi Culture Parade, performances by Tai Chi masters, training sessions by experienced Tai Chi instructors, a traditional Nanshan Disciple Ceremony, and an award ceremony for individuals making outstanding contributions to the development of Tai Chi.
The aim of the festival is to expand awareness of the discipline of Tai Chi and to allow new and experienced practitioners a platform for sharing appreciation of and exchanging of knowledge about Tai Chi.
As the only tropical coastal tourism destination in the country, Sanya is blessed with an extremely pleasant climate and a good environment. The clean environment in the Nanshan scenic area is also good for Tai Chi enthusiasts to practice Tai Chi to keep fit while immersing themselves in the beautiful scenery.
