During the ship’s three-month deployment, the Costa Romantica will ply the South China Sea, departing from thriving Sanya in three-, four-, and five-night destination cruises to locations in the Philippines and Vietnam.

Due in part to its unique tourism resources and superior location, Hainan Province is continually making progress in promoting the construction of a Hainan cruise home port, with the aim of helping the island develop into a “South China Cruise Center.”

The new cruise line is expected to further facilitate the development of cruise tourism in the city. The measure also ties in with the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road Initiative, bringing new travel experiences to Chinese consumers and abundant tourism and cultural resources of Southeast Asia, as well as supporting the development of tourism in southeast Asia.
