Park Hyatt Sanya Sunny Bay Resort upgrades Pool House menu
Park Hyatt Sanya Sunny Bay Resort recently upgraded the menu at Pool House, one of the most popular restaurants in Sanya, adjacent to the pools with spectacular views of the South China Sea, where guests are invited to enjoy the pleasure of an exquisite selection of healthy salads, fresh seafood, grilled meats, pizzas and more. The new menu highlights sustainable produce, healthy ingredients and local touches such as roasted pumpkin salad and Hainan A5 wagyu sirloin.
The menu is presented by Chef Maik Lilienthal, one of Hyatt’s most loyal associates who recently joined Park Hyatt Sanya Sunny Bay Resort as Western Kitchen Chef de Cuisine.
Hailing from Germany, Maik has been a chef for 18 years. He began his career in the kitchen directly after graduation, in several German hotels including one focused on wellness, where he gained knowledge about healthy ingredients and recipes. He began his culinary journey with Hyatt at Hyatt Regency Cologne in 2004, and worked for seven years in numerous diverse outlets, progressing from Commis de Cuisine to Sous Chef. He then transferred to the pre-opening team of Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel and Villas as Chef de Cuisine, where he continued to practice his skills with fresh seafood in particular. After five years in Abu Dhabi, Maik came to Asia and joined Park Hyatt Sanya Sunny Bay Resort, to lead the western kitchen team and share his rich experience and skills with associates and guests.
