At RMB 865m, Sanya Mango is China's most valuable brand in fruit
The largest and most influential fruit fair in China, the 3rd China Fruit Brands Fair, opened in Changsha, Hunan Province on November 3rd, 2017. The annual fruit event is the perfect stage for local fruit brands from across the country to converge and showcase the latest technology on fruit industry development, as well as to network with peers and share market intelligence.
At this year’s fair, Sanya was honored with the “most outstanding contribution award” for brand development. The Sanya Mango was included on the list of China’s top valuable fruit brands for 2017 (Sanya Mango’s brand is valued at RMB 865 million).
Sanya, located in a tropical area with an annual average temperature of 25 degrees Celsius and an average of 7 hours of sunshine per day, is known as the best area in China for mango cultivation.
Currently Sanya City has over 25,000 hectares of mango plantation land. The city’s annual mango output reaches over 560,000 tons of more than 10 mango varieties.
Sanya’s mango season generally runs from early February until June. Sanya’s mangoes are sold throughout all provinces in China and exported to overseas markets including Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and Russia.
