Preferential policies unveiled for new-energy vehicles in Sanya
RMB 10,000 rewarded for each purchase of a new-energy vehicle in Hainan
In a bid to speed up the construction of the “national ecological civilization pilot zone” and encourage consumers to buy new-energy vehicles, a “notice on the implementation of the temporary policy to promote purchase of new-energy vehicles in Hainan Province” was recently released. The policy aims to reward consumers who purchase new-energy vehicles in the province.
Those who purchase brand-new new-energy vehicles from a sales enterprise in Hainan and register it with the provincial traffic administrative department will be eligible for the reward.
New-energy vehicles mainly include pure electric vehicles, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, and fuel cell vehicles. Qualified vehicles must be registered for the first time, and owners must obtain special new-energy vehicle number plates.
The date of purchase and initial registration must be between April 30, 2020, and December 31, 2020.
The total funds available to be disbursed total RMB 150 million, with RMB 10,000 for each purchase. The total number of rewards shall not exceed 15,000 units.
Policy for parking service charges unveiled for new-energy vehicles in Sanya
On June 2nd, 2002, the Sanya government approved a temporary policy governing management of parking service charges for new-energy vehicles.
The new policy will go into effect on July 1st, 2020.
The new rules are as follows:
New-energy vehicles will enjoy one hour of free parking for on-street parking spaces between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m.; new-energy vehicles will enjoy free parking for on-street parking spaces from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. the following day.
New-energy vehicles will enjoy 30 minutes of free parking at “three-dimensional” parking facilities priced by the government and supporting parking facilities at airport, wharves, transport stations, and transport hubs.
New-energy vehicles will enjoy one hour of free parking at parking facilities at scenic spots, public medical institutions, residential areas without bargaining conditions, and non-“three-dimensional” public parking facilities fully funded and constructed by the government.
New-energy vehicles will be eligible for two hours of free parking while recharging at parking facilities priced by the government.
