Sanya engages PR Newswire for overseas tourism promotion
The Sanya Tourism Development Commission recently announced that it would join hands with PR Newswire, a distributor of press releases based in New York City, in an effort to promote tourism and development in Sanya City.
The cooperative agreement is a part of Sanya’s annual overseas marketing project. The establishment of the new agreement follows the official launch of 12 social media platforms and the construction of a monitoring system to evaluate the internationalization of Sanya’s tourism industry.
Sanya has been working to promote itself in international markets as an international tropical seaside tourist destination. Sanya is promoting the recognition and reputation of its tourism brand with multiple marketing strategies, including the “Go Out” and “Invite In” marketing strategy, new media channels, international air routes, and cruise routes.
Earlier this year, Sanya was named on the New York Times’ list of 52 places to visit. It’s the first time a Chinese city has made the influential list.
Sanya received 150,700 inbound tourists in the first quarter of the year, a year-on-year growth rate of 50.62 percent.
Fan Mu, Director of the Sanya Tourism Development Commission, said that the Sanya Tourism Development Commission is glad to be joining hands with the PR Newswire to provide more tourism information to overseas readers, so that more overseas visitors can have a better understanding of Sanya.
He expressed hope that Sanya’s popularity among overseas travelers would help to draw many more international travelers to Sanya. He added that the beach resort city’s warm weather and pleasant atmosphere make it an excellent choice for international travelers.
