Early this month, the Chinese government released a master plan for the construction of the Hainan free trade port. Under the plan, the Hainan free trade port will promote in-depth integration of tourism with culture and sports, medical care, elderly care, health, and other sectors.

Sanya tourism authorities have been working to develop a number of healthcare tourism products, advocating deeper integration of tourism and the healthcare industry, which is part of developments of Hainan Free Trade Port.

Sanya has many natural resources essential to the development of healthcare tourism, including clean air, clean waters, white beaches, mineral hot springs, stunning mountains, and lush rainforests.

Sanya will tap its unique and rich healthcare tourism resources, improving urban infrastructure and the quality of services, in order to ensure that healthcare tourism becomes a major part of boosting the city’s tourism industry.
