Think tank cooperation agreement signed in Beijing, aims to boost Sanya tourism
On March 22nd, 2018, in Beijing, the International Institute for Sanya Tourism inked a cooperative agreement with five well-known domestic universities and other tourism institutions. The purpose of the initiative is to work together to help Sanya develop into a holistic tourism resort city.
The five think tanks include two educational institutions — Beijing International Studies University and the Communication University of China — and three other tourism institutions: Pinchain.com, tripvivid.com, and .lvjie.com.cn.
The agreement includes clauses that aim to promote exchange and cooperation in the tourism industry by increasing exchange of experts and researchers, and promoting collaborative research on some important tourism projects.
Ye Kaizhong, Deputy Director of the Sanya Tourism Development Commission, said that under the agreement, the new partnerships will leverage the collective strengths of these think tanks and promote cooperation and exchange projects in particular fields. The agreement will support Sanya’s goal of raising its international profile and helping Sanya develop into a world-class seaside tourist destination.
Supported by the Sanya Tourism Development Commission, the International Institute for Sanya Tourism was set up in Sanya on September 28th, 2017. The aim of the initiative is to foster forward-thinking discussions on issues important to Sanya’s future tourism industry.
