23 GMs from Moscow travel agencies visit Sanya to bridge tourism
A Moscow tourism delegation consisting of 23 general managers from Moscow travel agencies arrived in Sanya on September 10th, 2017, to start a study tour of tourism resources of the Greater Sanya tourism circle.
The trip by the Moscow delegation was a return visit following the “Sanya Celebration” overseas tourism promotional campaign held in Moscow on August 10th, 2017.
During the seven-day visit, the Sanya Tourism Development Commission (STDC) showed off the city’s strong portfolio of tourism offerings to the Moscow delegation, including local natural scenery, diverse accommodation facilities, traditional Chinese medicine therapy tours, and other themed outdoor sports, allowing the guests to learn more about the city’s rich tourism resources and good tourist reception services.
Additionally, Sanya tourism authorities extended invitations to local travel operators to increase their share of the Sanya tourism market and to develop additional high-quality tourism products to meet demand for leisure and holiday travel for Russian-speaking nations and regions.
The visit is the second event in STDC’s “Invite In” marketing promotional campaign. The campaign is active in key tourism markets and cities that have direct flights to Sanya this year. In the following months, more events will be organized targeting markets in Japan, Indonesia, and Europe.
Currently, there are seven flights running between Russia and Sanya, and the number of flights from Sanya to Russian-speaking countries has reached 17 per week. In the first seven month of this year, the number of Russian tourists to Sanya reached 147,330, a year-on-year increase of 458 percent.
