Kids friendly city, Sanya family tourism promoted in Beijing

A press conference for the 2017 Sanya Family Tour Product Launch and Sanya Family Tourism Culture Month was held in Beijing on July 3rd, 2017.

Zheng Conghui, Deputy Director of the Sanya Tourism Development Commission, gave an overview of Sanya’s tropical tourism products for family summer holiday travel.

The event organizer invited major travel operators and media outlets nationwide. The event provided an excellent opportunity for industry professionals to communicate and exchange ideas on boosting Sanya’s family tourism market.

A family tour promotional event — the 2017 2nd Sanya Family Tourism Culture Month, which is to kick off on July 20th — was announced at the conference. The event will aim to strengthen Sanya’s family tourism brand. Related events will be held during the same period to boost Sanya’s family tourism markets. Those events will include the 2nd Sanya Child-Friendly Tourism Development Forum, the 2nd Family Fun Trip at Sanya, the Sanya Family Travel Products Sourcing Fair, and Sanya Family Open Day.

Sanya is the first tourist city in China to embrace a “Kid-Friendly City” tourism promotional campaign. In recent years, Sanya has worked to develop into a popular destination for family travel by upgrading its public entertainment facilities for kids, and by accelerating the construction of a new batch of model communities in the region where families with kids can spend quality time together.

Sanya’s popular family-oriented rural getaways include Zhongliao Village, Qingtang Village, and Yucai Village. More family tourism products including sea voyage routes, inland waterway tours, and short-distance tourist train tours.

 

Hotels and scenic spots in Sanya have also developed a range of tourism offerings that aim to make families’ holiday experiences more memorable.

In his address, Mr. Zheng welcomed on behalf of Sanya City more families to travel together in Sanya. He said he hoped that the press conference would help travel operators, online travel agents, and various educational institutions across the country to gain a better understanding of Sanya’s branded family tourism products. The event will aim to help boost the number of tourist arrivals in Sanya’s family tourism market and give everyone a chance to experience the family-friendly fun that can be found in Sanya!
