Sanya hosts tourism road show at ITM Intourmarket-Moscow 2019
On March 8th, a Sanya tourism road show was held in Moscow, where the Hainan 30-day visa-free travel entry policy for people from 59 countries, direct air routes, and holiday products with tropical coastal features were promoted. The road show was hosted by the Bureau of Tourism, Culture, Radio, Television, and Sports of Sanya. The event was a part of a series of events organized by a Hainan tourism promotional delegation that attended the ITM Intourmarket-Moscow 2019 in Moscow.
Guests attending the road show included Cao Yuanxin, Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism, Culture, Radio, Television, and Sports of Hainan Province; Wang Xiaoxia, Director of the Tourism Office of CNTA in Moscow, Aleskey Tikhnenko, Head of the Hotel Industry Department of the Moscow Tourism Board; and Tang Sixian, Consulting Director of the Bureau of Tourism, Culture, Radio, Television, and Sports of Sanya.
During the road show, Mr. Cao Yuanxin delivered a speech in which he said that Hainan is working to develop into a free-trade zone and free-trade port with Chinese characteristics. Sanya has established a tourism police mechanism with Moscow, and has launched an array of tourism products catering to Russian tourists in recent years, including the Atlantis Sanya Resort, Haichang Fantasy Town, hot springs, and TCM treatment facilities. Sanya has become a popular destination for Russian tourists.
Russia is the largest tourist source market for Sanya. In 2018, the number of Russian tourists visiting Sanya reached 204,000. At present, Sanya has 11 direct air routes connecting to Russian cities with 19 flights per week. Destinations include Moscow, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Yekaterinburg, Irkutsk, Khabarovsk, Vladivostok, Ulan-Ude, Ufa, Ru Kovsky, and Kazan.
