Sanya promotes Sanya-London direct flights on London buses
In a bid to promote a new Sanya-London direct flight, which will start from July 12th, 2018, Sanya tourism authorities have launched a marketing campaign that utilizes London’s iconic double-decker buses that drive around in the metropolis. The campaign aims to promote Sanya’s image as a rising tropical coastal tourist destination for the British market.
A total of 125 buses, decorated with advertisements promoting the twice-a-week Sanya-London direct flights, will run across London’s vast transit network, including the central London zones, and will potentially be seen by tens of thousands of people.
The campaign targets commuters and tourists in London, both local and international, with the goal of raising awareness of Sanya’s unique tropical charm as a tropical seaside resort city, and increasing the number of European travelers who choose Sanya as a holiday destination.
The first direct flight from Sanya to London will be launched on July 12th, 2018, when the Airbus A330-200 wide-body jet will be put into service. This is the first regular route and the first international flight from Hainan Province to Europe opened by the Civil Aviation Administration of China since the introduction of two new policy changes: the establishment of Hainan as a free-trade zone, and the implementation of Hainan’s visa-free policy for 59 countries.
Under Hainan’s new visa-free policy, group and individual tourists from 59 countries including Britain can visit Hainan visa-free and stay for up to 30 days when they book their travel with a local travel agent in Hainan.
The travel agencies will report the identity information and itineraries of the foreign tourists to the appropriate public security departments and border inspection authorities 24 hours prior to their arrival.
