Mr. Tang Sixian said that China and Indonesia are friendly neighbors along the maritime silk road, and the people of both countries have a centuries-old history of friendly exchange in the fields of tourism and culture. He hoped that these new tourism cooperation initiatives would allow more Indonesian visitors to learn about Hainan and experience the “charming beauty and romance” of Sanya.

Indonesia is an important inbound tourist source market for Sanya. At present, there are six direct flights running between Hainan and Indonesian cities of Jakarta and Surabaya every week. At the same time, the Hainan’s visa-free access for visitors from 59 countries also provides convenient policy for Sanya to carry out tourism marketing activities in Indonesian market.
In the future, Sanya will further strengthen exchanges and cooperation with aviation and tourism enterprises on both sides, taking advantage of the Sanya Tourism (Indonesia) Promotion Center to expand the international brand influence of Sanya tourism and boost the flight occupancy, with an aim of helping Sanya to be a pioneer in boosting Hainan developing into an international tourism consumption center.
